    Randall Barnes – Sound designer<\/b><\/font>
<\/span><\/h2>

I was born in southern California but has spent half of his life in Europe. Following a MA in Applied Linguistics at the University of York (UK), I went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Sound Design at Bournemouth University (UK) in 2002. This Diploma course deepened my passion for location sound and post sound recording, editing and mixing. To further add to this passion, I spent the next four years writing a PhD thesis on film sound history, theory and practice. During this time I worked on various student projects and was asked to consult on the sound content for a drama titled “One” dir. Brown – 2006. Since graduating in March 2006, I’ve taught sound design at Azusa Pacific University, and as textured sound I have been the primary sound designer for 4 short films, 4 documentaries, 1 full-length drama, a biker film and 6 full-length horror films.
